The KSU College of Education records, spanning from the 1930s to 2008 document the evolution of Kent State University's education program from its start in the Kent State Normal School, to the creation of the College of Education, and finally to its current manifestation as the College and Graduate School of Education, Health and Human Services. This collection includes a large amount of curriculum information for individual courses and overall programs, as well as reports, studies, proposals, interdepartmental materials, photographs, and publications that were created by, or produced for, the College.

Kent State Normal School, founded in 1910, was charged with the mission of preparing classroom teachers. The College of Education became its own entity within Kent State during the 1929-1930 academic year. Kent State University has a long and distinguished record of preparing students to be educators for the nation's schools and universities.
